Hello fellow makeup lovers!!
Today I wanted to rave about a product that has me wanting to glow rather than be matte. I have skin more on the oily side which has always driven me towards matte makeup looks. I have tried so many highlighters, but after using them only a few times I end up going back to staying all matte. That is until I tried this latest one. Now it is not a new product at all. I have heard people rave about it for years, but I just recently tried it. So what highlight has me loving the glow?
I bought the Manizer Sisters Palette by The Balm from Khols recently. It was one of those impulse purchases made at the register while waiting in line. We all know how that happens right? This palette contains three highlighters which are the Mary-Lou Manizer, Cindy-Lou Manizer, and Betty-Lou Manizer. The Mary-Lou Manizer is a beautiful honey white highlight which is great for those with a lighter skin tone. The Cindy-Lou Manizer is a pink highlight which is the main reason I decided to purchase this palette. Lastly, the Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronze highlight which will be gorgeous on dark skin tones.
The reason I love this highlight so much is it gives such a beautiful and subtle glow to the skin. I can apply this to the tops of my cheek bones, down the middle of my nose, and on my cupids bow for a light glow. It is just enough to catch the light, but it’s not too extreme. I personally don’t enjoy the super metallic or wet looking highlights. This palette allows me to glow without being overboard for my own taste. It gives me more definition to the face, and for the first time I actually want to glow!
This is a great versatile palette as well. When it comes to highlighting my face I only use the Mary-Lou Manizer and the Cindy-Lou Manizer. However, I do still use the Betty-Lou Manizer as an eyeshadow. If you have darker skin you could do the opposite by using the lighter shades as a shimmer eyeshadow and the darker shade to highlight. These highlights can also be purchased separately if you would rather select specific shades.
I know this highlight has been on the market for years, but I just had to rave about it. I have been obsessed with it lately. Basically every day for the past two weeks I have mixed the Cindy-Lou Manizer with the Mary-Lou Manizer together to highlight. It honestly has made me want to have a glow instead of being matte! If you haven’t checked it out yet I highly recommend it!
Thanks for reading everyone! I will be back tomorrow with another post since I couldn’t post on Wednesday!
