Welcome Back Beauties ❤
Who loves Valentine’s day?!? I personally am not a fan of the holiday, but I know that a lot of people are so I wanted to do a makeup look for it.
I wanted to do something feminine and pink without being too over the top. You could easily customize this look to fit you! If you want it to be more dramatic or softer you could totally do it!
I hope that you enjoy this look, and it inspires you to create your own.
The Products I Used
- Cover FX mattifying primer with acne treatment
I am still unsure about this primer. I have tried it out a few different times now, and I keep going back and forth with my opinion. I will keep using it and provide an update in a full review later.
- PUR Bare It All 12 hour 4 in 1 skin perfecting foundation in Porcelain
I am in LOVE with this foundation! It is a new obsession for sure! It is gorgeous and it wears great throughout the day. I will be doing a full review on this product very soon so check back for that!
- Tarte shape tape concealer in fair neutral
Still not a fan of this concealer, but I will not waste it. I am going to use it even if I’m not the biggest fan of it.
- Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder
I love this powder! If you want a powder that will keep you matte you need this in your life!
- Nyx Cosmetics blush in Taupe
You’re probably thinking I skipped over contour, but I promise I didn’t. I have been loving this blush as a contour shade! It is perfect for all my pale beauties. It is all I have used the past couple weeks, and it is affordable!
- Tarte 12 hour amazonian clay blush in Paaarty
I received this blush as a birthday gift from Sephora. It is absolutely gorgeous! It gives you a soft nude pink cheek that lasts all day long. These blushes are amazing, and I thought this shade paired with the eyes perfectly.
- Wet N Wild highlight in Precious Petals
I honestly was not feeling like having glowy skin. So I took this highlight with a very light hand to highlight my cheek bones and down the center of my nose. It was very subtle, but it was perfect for what I wanted.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder duo in dark brown
I decided to go back to powder for my brows since I recently got the Anastasia Beverly Hills #12 brow brush. I forgot how much I love the way powder looks in the brows. I honestly think it makes brows look the most natural.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel
No brow of mine is complete without this product. It is like super glue for brows. Once you place this in your brows you won’t have to worry about them moving all day long, but it doesn’t make them crunchy like some gels can.
- Smashbox 24 hour eye shadow primer
Any time I want my eye shadow to last all day with no creasing this is my go to primer! It keeps my eye shadow flawless all day long.
- Eye shadows
For eye shadow I used a few different brands. I started off with my Lorac Pro palette 2. I used the shade buff to set my primer. I also used this to give a light highlight to my brow bone.
Next, I used the Sephora Collection matte shadow in Scented Candle. I used this for my crease shade and also along my bottom lash line.
Then I took Macs single shadow in the shade Deep Damson. This is one of my all time favorite eye shadows! I used this to deepen the outer corner of my eye, and to smoke out the outer part of my bottom lash line.
Then I placed Anastasia’s single shadow in the shade Sangria on the lid. I love the way that Sangria fades into Deep Damson.
As for eyeliner I used the Sephora collection 12 hour water proof pencil to tight line, and to line my water line.
Then I took the Loreal liquid nior liner to do a thin line across my lid. I kept it close to the lash line just to define it. I didn’t want dramatic liner.
- Stila huge lash extreme mascara
This mascara is my holy grail! I love how thick and volumized it makes my lashes look. I never feel the need to wear false lashes when I use this mascara.
- Nyx Cosmetics lip liner in Pale Pink
This is probably my most used lip liner. I love how it mutes out my natural lip color to let any lipstick show more true to color. I can pair this with any lipstick, and I grab it more than any other lip liner I own.
- Tarte creamy matte lip paint in Birthday Suit
This was the other item in the birthday gift from Sephora. This is Tarte’s older formula of liquid lipstick which I personally love. It lasts a long time and it is comfortable to wear. I thought this color paired with the look perfectly.
You can easily customize this look and make it your own. Have fun with it, and make it want you want! Switch up the lip color by going with a bold red, pink, or a pale nude. Smoke the eyes out more, add winged liner, and false lashes to make it more dramatic. If you love that glow then use an intense highlight! Let your mind run wild, and use your artistic touch to re-create the look!
Thank you all so much for reading my blog! I hope to inspire you to create a Valentine’s look all of your own!
