Welcome back my beauties! If this is your first time here I’m glad to have you! Be sure to subscribe so you can be a part of the Distressed Beauty® Family! 🙂
I’m a bit late on this product review, but better late than never right? A while back I was shopping in the drug store when I come across a dark circle correcting product in cushion form. This product immediately intrigued me because typically cushion products don’t have a lot of coverage, and obviously you expect full coverage when it comes to color correcting.
Naturally, my curiosity got the best of me, and I had to give it a try. If you’d like to know my thoughts on this cushion dark circle corrector then just keep scrolling!

I must say Wet n Wild gets an A+ on the packaging! The cover of the package is adorable! I think it was a creative take on packaging. It shows that the company really put effort into the packaging that you don’t often see with drug store products.
The lid screws on so you know it will stay closed at all times making it great for travel. Then it comes with its own applicator for the product which is also a nice travel perk. There is a piece that fits tight down against the cushion that keeps the product from drying out which is typical of cushion products. Lastly, you have the cushion soaked with the actual product.
As you can tell by the pictures this product does help to correct darkness. I noticed it more looking in the mirror than I did in the pictures. (Still trying to get my lighting better)
On my right eye I used the applicator that Wet n Wild provides with the product. I feel like the provided applicator applies the product the best, but you have less control with your placement of the product.
On my left eye I decided to try it out using a concealer brush just to see how it would perform. I didn’t like the way it applied with a brush at all! It was hard to blend and it gave less coverage.
I certainly agree that this is a feather weight formula that is meant to be layered for a natural finish. Even with the provided applicator I got very light coverage with my first layer. However, I added another layer which gave more coverage. The good thing is that you can layer it, and it doesn’t start to look too heavy at all. It really does give a light natural finish. It is definitely light weight because it doesn’t feel like you have anything on your skin.
Overall, I would say this product does what it claims. On days when my dark circles are at their worst I doubt this will be the product I reach for because you do have to build the coverage. However, on days like today when my dark circles aren’t too bad I would definitely use this for a light natural coverage. I also think this is great for no makeup days. If you need to run some errands you could quickly apply this to look more awake and fresh with minimal effort.
This is definitely an innovative product! Great job Wet n Wild!
