Today I want to share with all of you a charity that inspires me beyond words. This charity is known as Project Beauty Share!
I learned of this charity when I was watching Thataylaa’s series 15 days of foundation. As I heard her explain what Project Beauty Share was doing for women I was instantly inspired. There are many women in this world that can’t afford the luxury of makeup or feminine hygiene products. I, like many others, am lucky enough to purchase these items on the regular. So why not share that luxury so that all women know what it is like?
I hope that you are inspired by Project Beauty Share as much as I am, and I am hoping that more people will donate to this amazing cause. If you’re interested to know more then just keep scrolling!
About Project Beauty Share
Project Beauty Share is a non-profit organization that provides women in need with cosmetics and feminine hygiene products. All items they collect are sent to local shelters, homes, and organizations for women in need. There is a complete list of all these places on their website http://projectbeautyshare.com/ Project Beauty Share is licensed and registered in the state of Washington as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
The women they help are women who have been displaced, escaped violent situations, or often found themselves falling down with no friends or family to help them. These women are often considered an invisible and nearly forgotten part of society. However, Project Beauty Share is working to change that. There are women in this world that need help, and Project Beauty Share is doing their part to help as many as they can in their local area.
So many of us women take for granted that we have luxuries like makeup, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo and conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brushes, hair care, etc. How often do we get these items that go unused because we simply didn’t like them? It happens all the time to me. Project Beauty Share gives us the option to take those barely used products, and donate them to women who don’t have the luxury of getting it on their own. A product you hate may very well be the product that brightens their day.
There is a beauty to giving back to this world. In a society where there is so much cruelty we must remember to be kind and helpful.
