Hello my beauties!

And so the mask journey continues…

A few weeks back I posted a picture of new masks that I would be trying out. My first review was on the Shea Moisture Clarifying Mud Mask: Hit or Miss?! Be sure to check that one first if you missed it.

Today I will be telling you all about my experience with the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb sheet mask targeted towards dry and sensitive skin. I have only used this mask one time so this review will be a first impression rather than a full review.

My Thoughts

When I first took the mask out of the packaging I noticed that it was very saturated. This was actually an advantage because it really helped the mask cling to the skin. A lot of times I avoid sheet masks for the simple reason that I can’t do anything while it is on my face. I like to get other things done around the house while I have a mask on so that I still get things accomplished. This mask actually stayed in place with no issues at all which was great!

While the mask was on I felt a light cooling sensation. Other than that I couldn’t immediately feel it doing anything.

When I took the mask off I noticed that my skin looked healthy and plumped. I had washed and toned my skin before using the mask, but I skipped moisturizer to see how well this mask would hydrate my skin. I really could notice where it did add in hydration to my skin. My skin had a natural looking glow, and it felt as if I had used my moisturizer.

There was a lot of product left over on my face due to the mask being so saturated. On the packaging it said there would be no need to rinse the excess product off because it can just be massaged into the skin. I did as it directed even though there was a lot of excess product. After about an hour and a half most of the product had absorbed into my skin.

Unfortunately, once about 3 hours had passed my skin was turning extremely oily. Then I started to feel like my skin was just dirty. My pores felt like they were clogged up, and I just wanted to wash my face. I did end up having to go in with my face cleanser because I couldn’t stand how my skin felt.

Now I will say that this may have happened due to the fact that this mask is meant for those with dry skin. It may have just been to intensely moisturizing for my skin type. I picked this mask up in the mattify/hydrate version as well. That one will likely be better for my skin.

Overall if you have dry skin I think you may really love this! I of course only tried it once, but it really did hydrate my skin. If you have dryer skin than me then you may have a better experience since it won’t be putting to much moisture into your skin.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this review, and if there is anything you would like to see reviewed just let me know!

Have you tried this mask? What are your thoughts?
